Elektra sounds less than electrifying

Well, nuts. I had had lofty hopes for the "Elektra" movie. The comics (a 4-part miniseries culled from her various appearances in "Daredevil", and a later, amazing, 8-part series beautifully illustrated by Bill Sinciewicz) were among my favorites as a kid, and the casting of Jennifer Garner gave me hope that the silver screen adaptation would be reasonably good. But I have yet to read a single positive review. It sounds like Rob Bowman really cocked it up.

My favorite line so far comes from Keith Phipps of The Onion AV Club:

Garner's main opposition comes from Will Yun Lee, playing a baddie with the superhuman ability to speak only in clichés. "We meet again!" he exclaims when they meet again. "It ends now!" he shouts shortly before the film ends. If only he'd thought of that one sooner.

Ouch.
