Richardson is saying this because he wants the state to pony up $100 million to help build Earth's version of Mos Eisley. Maybe they'll call it Los Eisley.
My inner libertarian is sternly shaking his head in disapproval. Richard Branson and Jeff Bezos and Burt Rutan can probably scrounge up enough dough to build their own spaceport.
But my inner X-Wing pilot is saying, "Suh-weet. Let's do it."
