"West Hollywood May Ban Cosmetic Surgery for Pets". There's so much wrong in that headline it's hard to know where to start.
First, it is disturbing that there are people who actually waste time and money on giving Fido a face lift.
Second, that there are enough of these people, apparently concentrated in West Hollywood, for the city to consider imposing a ban.
Third, that paid government servants are actually wasting time debating whether to stop Tom and Jerry from getting a nip and tuck.
To be fair, when you read the story, it makes clear that the main concern is "tail-docking" and "ear-cropping", though other "non-therapeutic or cosmetic surgeries" would also be forbidden.
