You've probably all seen, inadvertently no doubt, the infamous "goatse.cx" photo that started circulating on the Web a couple years ago.

One would think that just knowing that photo exists, or more precisely, that that particular act was captured on film, should have been enough.

But it turns out there is actually a Wikipedia entry on the topic, with far more information than you would ever want to know.

Still, I haven't so hard in a long time.

A particular source of mirth was in the "Identity of the 'Goatse Man' section, which puts a name to the man in the photo and says he is a frequent contributor to an anal .alt forum.

..a rather simple analysis confirms this; it is unlikely that there is another practitioner of anal stretching with the same mole on the upper-left edge of his anus. Furthermore, both the gap.zip (see below) pictures and [the .alt poster's]pictures show the same large yellow buttplug being used.

Being Wikipedia there are helpful links to the entries on "anal stretching", "mole" and "buttplug".

What is truly sad is that the goatse.cx entry is almost exactly twice as long as the Wikipedia entry for the economist Adam Smith.
