The 20-minute cab ride from the airport to the hote cost almost 20 pounds, which at current exchange rates is almost $40. This was 20 minutes on city streets, too, not a highway, so it couldn't have been very far.
The cheapest room at the Novotel hotel I'm at costs 169 pounds a night.
They charge 13 pounds for a day of high-speed Internet access.
