"Booty and the beast"

Well, I didn't have to go far to find some fine blogging material.

Seattle Post-Intelligencer columnist Robert Jamieson Jr. has a piece up about the Enumclaw animal sex farm scandal.

Because bestiality is not against the law in Washington state (wink wink David!), there is now a bill that would make it a crime to roger your rabbits, molest Mr. Ed or bugger your bovines.

Jamieson is opposed to the bill.

I could leave it there and let you think what you will, but his point is that he thinks there are more pressing problems legislators and police could be worrying over.

That's a fine opinion to hold, but he does seem to go a little far in trying to see matters from the other side of the fence, so to speak.

Ingrid Newkirk, the founder and president of People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals, was quoted in a 2001 New York Times article that touched on "innocent" human-animal sex acts: "If a girl gets sexual pleasure from riding a horse, does the horse suffer? If not, who cares? If you French-kiss your dog and he or she thinks it's great, is it wrong?"

Okay, is it just me or is a chick who has an orgasm from riding a horse light years away from playing tonsil tag with Rover?

But Jamieson did come up with "booty and the beast" line. That was a good one.
